My name is Zach and I want to share with you my Make-A-Wish® story. When I was 10 years old, I was missing days and weeks of school due to migraines and other symptoms. After countless tests and doctor visits, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It seemed as if my whole world came crashing down on me.
After my diagnosis, I was in contact with the amazing Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire chapter. My one true wish at the time was to go to the 2011 MLB All-Star game, a wish trip that I can remember to this day! My trip proved to me that community involvement and problem-solving for organizations is important and is something that I want to implement in my soon-to-be career.
Today in 2019, I am a senior in my last semester. I will be graduating with a degree in public relations at the University of La Verne. Because of Make-A-Wish, I am ready to take on my future with the positive mindset they have provided for me.
Thank you, Make-A-Wish!
