Cars, trains, action figures - .boys grow up playing with them and running them into things, but not Donald. He loves to see them restored. A few years ago, when he was close to getting his driver’s license, Donald’s father bought a 1965 Mustang that needed lots of love. The outside needed to be refurbished and renovated completely. They had started working on it together as a father-son project, but before they knew it, Donald had fallen ill and was soon diagnosed with leukemia. This brave young man, who had always had a passion for cars, smiled widely when he decided on his wish. He wanted to have his automobile renovated.
The employees at Barry’s Speed Shop in Corona worked extra hard, even staying after their regular hours of work to help make Donald’s dream come true. When it was finally finished, after many long hours and lots of anticipation, Donald’s run-down old Mustang was finally revealed to him. It looked like a completely different car! Donald’s smile gleamed as he took in the shiny, bright beacon of hope, in the form of an overhauled and fixed up old Mustang.
Donald was overwhelmed with feelings of joy! Not only because of his "awesome" car, but because of all the people who helped grant his most heartfelt wish.
