Abraham dreamed of being able to play with his family and friends on his very own play structure. Little did he know, his wish would come true and it would include his own set of bongo drums!
Abraham is an energetic little boy who goes by the nickname, AJ. He is living with Charge Syndrome, multiple valve complications and is partially blind and deaf. Due to his condition, AJ is unable to play on his own, so he wanted to have a safe play environment in his backyard!
On AJ’s wish day, a team from Edwards Lifesciences arrived at his home bright and early, while he was away at school. They quickly set to work to assemble his brand new play structure. Within a few hours everything was assembled, including his special swing and several musical items, such as a loud bell and bongo drums! AJ’s parents were overjoyed and thought those additions would provide excellent sensory and tactile experiences for him to enjoy. When AJ arrived home from school, he was thrilled! He and his cousins had a blast playing on the new play structure. He loved his special swing and going down the slide with his dad. Now AJ can play with his friends and family everyday on his new play structure.
AJ’s family is very thankful to have been given a gift that they know he will be able to enjoy for years to come. AJ is very thankful to Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire and Edwards Lifesciences for making his most heartfelt wish come true.
