Elizabeth is a fun-loving 15-year-old who enjoys swimming and playing Wii in her free time. She is an explorer at heart, and the outdoors is her forte. She loves to watch swimming, especially during the Summer Olympics. With her family, she often goes to the beach and the park to explore nature.
In December of 2016, Elizabeth’s adventures were cut short when she was diagnosed with a kidney disorder. Time spent discovering new parks soon turned into time spent enclosed in a hospital room. Elizabeth’s family was shattered after hearing the news, having lost all hope of ever being able to see their daughter play in the parks like she used to. That feeling of hope they were anticipating was soon re-established when they discovered that she was eligible for a wish from Make-A-Wish! Being one with nature, it was no surprise that her most heartfelt wish was to go to Hawaii. With a passion for swimming, she looked forward to going surfing and snorkeling in Hawaii. Elizabeth wanted to experience Hawaiian sunsets and luaus, and this was the perfect opportunity to do so.
In August of 2019, her wish came true. Elizabeth and her family were picked up in a limousine and flown out to Hawaii. From the moment they arrived, Elizabeth had a smile big enough to light up the entire island. During her time there, she got to go to SeaLife Park and swim with dolphins. In school, her favorite subject is history, which is why Hawaii was a top destination for her to visit. She wanted to learn about the history of Pearl Harbor and visit the volcanic sites to witness it for herself, and she did just that. She was also able to fulfill her dream of snorkeling at Hanauma Bay.
Elizabeth and her family are extremely thankful for all the hard work put forth to make her wish a reality. She had always wanted to have the full experience in Hawaii, and the sunsets that she saw were undoubtedly experiences that she will cherish forever.
