I wish to go to Washington D.C.

“ I will never forget all the wonderful things I got to do with my family! ”

- Adam

Adam is an outgoing and intelligent young man living with Cerebral Palsy. He is very interested in the military and America’s history. It was very fitting that Adam’s most heartfelt wish was to go to our nation’s capital, Washington D.C.!

When Adam’s wish day finally arrived, he was thrilled! Adam and his family were escorted to the airport in style in a limousine. One thing Adam truly loves is airplanes. The pilot made his trip extra special by showing him the cockpit, and they even made an announcement overhead that Adam was on his Make-A-Wish trip!

Adam’s first activity was a personal tour of the United States Capitol; Adam even got to sit at President Nixon’s desk! The next day, Adam had the opportunity to go to the Holocaust Museum and the Pentagon. Adam loved learning more about our nation’s military at the Pentagon.

The following day, Adam and his family went on a tour of the White House. He was so excited to be seeing everything that he had learned about, up close. They spent their free time visiting different memorials, especially the Washington Monument. There was no doubt that Adam was having the time of his life.

Adam and his family are grateful that his most heartfelt wish came true.
