Volunteers assist in various areas of Make-A-Wish alongside staff members and other volunteers.  In return for their diligent efforts and dedication, volunteers receive valuable training, hands-on experience and the gratification of making a difference in the life of a child. 

Currently, our highest need for Wish Granting Volunteers:

    • Bilingual: Spanish-English in Orange County and the Inland Empire
    • Residents of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties

Currently, our highest need for Event Volunteers:

    • Residents of Orange County and Riverside County

Please note: our program works primarily with volunteers over age 18. Youth and student volunteers, please visit Students Schools and Universities for more information on how to get involved.

Becoming a Volunteer

All volunteers are asked to meet a series of requirements before becoming an active volunteer including completing the volunteer application, online orientation training and submitting to relevant background checks.

Types of Volunteers

More than 600 specially trained volunteers generously give their time and energy help make wishes come true. Our volunteers become involved in the mission through a variety of capacities.
