Elementary & Middle School

About the Program

The Kids For Wish Kids® program is an opportunity for local kids and teens to help make wishes come true for children living in their own community. The program is beneficial not only to the children who will receive the gift of a wish, but also to the individuals who learn and grow by participating in community service. Lessons learned include the importance of community involvement and philanthropy, leadership skills, building self esteem and teamwork.

At the elementary and middle school level, individual kids or school groups can get involved with a Youth Volunteer Project. Whether you're a kid, parent, teacher or other school faculty member, we have all the tools you'll need to bring Make-A-Wish to your home or school with a fun philanthropy event. Learn how you can make a positive difference in the life of a local child with a critical illness!

Host a Wish Week

Enhance your students' communication, collaboration, creativity, and more importantly a sense of community by hosting Wish Week - a five-day spirit week that teaches the importance of helping others.

Make-A-Wish has all the tools you need to start a Wish Week at your Elementary or Middle School. You can choose to have an event run by grown-ups, but we also have tools for a student-run program.
