When he was just 15 years old, Taylor was diagnosed with end stage kidney disease. His condition meant he needed to undergo a continuous and daily dialysis regimen. Nonetheless, this did not stop Taylor from doing all the fun activities he enjoyed, like riding his bike and swimming with friends.
In 2015, Taylor’s most heartfelt wish to go to New York came true when he and his family traveled to the Big Apple for New Year’s Eve. During their visit, Taylor had one of his most favorite meals: pizza! They even had the exciting opportunity to visit many of New York’s landmarks, like the beautiful Lady Liberty, Broadway and the Empire State Building. As for the highlight of his trip, they toured the New Year’s Eve crystal ball before it dropped and of course, were in Times Square for the countdown!
Since his wish, Taylor has had a successful kidney transplant.
Today, he is preparing to graduate high school at Orange County School of the Arts and is excited to start college in the fall. Taylor continues to dream big and wants to become a teacher in the future!
“My wish gave me a sense of hope and made it so I was able to turn my dreams into possibilities," Taylor said.
Taylor and his family are incredibly grateful for their wonderful wish experience that was full of joy and memories. With his daring and brave spirit, Taylor continues to show us the importance of living our best lives no matter what!
